The worship services, Bible studies and meetings are webcast through a Yahoo chat room "conference."
To participate, you will need to download Yahoo Instant Messenger. Click here to go to the free download site. Use your back arrow to return to this page after you have downloaded the latest version of Yahoo Instant Messenger.
After you have the download, send an email to Br. Benedict at shawnfben@aol.com with RAY OF HOPE in the subject box. In the body of the email request to be added to my buddy list so that your name will show up when we set up the conference.
TO JOIN US ON LINE:
1) Sign on to Yahoo.
2) Do not instant message Shawnfben. We will contact you. If you instant message us, Yahoo will not allow you to join the conference.
3) When you receive the invitation to join the conference, accept it.
4) Activate the voice conference once you are asked to.
5) You will receive an invitation to view the web camera. Please do not send an instant message requesting to view the web camera.
During the broadcast if there is a technical problem do not send an instant message outside the conference. This will disable the conference for everyone. Wait in the conference for instructions on how to restore your ability to hear and/or see. We will contact you as soon as we realize something has gone wrong.
It is a good idea to send us your telephone number so we can call you during the conference to give you instructions on how to reconnect.
We have had about a 95% success rate using this free service. Sometimes Yahoo sends a message saying they are having trouble "connecting with the voice server." When this happens we will try to wait a minute or two. If we cannot reconnect, we will reset the concerence. This involves closing all the windows of Yahoo and waiting for a new invitation to a new conference.
