Updated 9-6-25. Participate in Ray Of Hope Church activities from the privacy of your home, or anywhere in the world using your smartphone, or any computer device when connected to the Internet.
This is ideal for those who are practicing social distancing during this COVID-19 prevention plan, those who are shut in, ill, anywhere in the world outside Elmira, NY, or unable to come to the worship location for fear of others seeing them attending. People in the closet for any reason may attend our events safely, view the recordings safely, and use the resources on our website.
The worship services, Bible studies, and meetings are webcast via Zoom and Facebook Live at this time.
CURRENT BROADCAST SCHEDULE as of September, 6, 2025. All times below are in Eastern Standard Time (EST) (East Coast USA and Canada)
Sunday Morning Worship: sign on by 10:15 AM. Worship begins at 10:30 AM
Bible Enrichment Session: Tuesday: sign in by 6:15 PM. Bible Study Enrichment begins at 6:30 PM with the exception of every second Tuesday of each month, then it is 7:15 p.m. - 8:45 p.m.
If you have a microphone you will be able to speak back to us during the event. If your web camera is turned on we will be able to see you. You do not have to have your camera on to participate. You are welcome to listen to the service and even participate by speaking with us with your microphone without using your camera. Participants on Zoom often do readings in worship, lead prayers, sing, and take leadership parts in the worship.
During the broadcast if there is a technical problem wait in the conference for instructions on how to restore your ability to hear and/or see. We will contact you as soon as we realize something has gone wrong. If we are not contacting you, instant message us in a new window. Call 1-607-280-0374 if you are not getting through to us otherwise. It is our goal to keep each person connected through the entire event.
It is a good idea to send us your telephone number so we can call you during the conference to give you instructions on how to reconnect.
Unfortunately the music quality is very poor on some devices. We are working on the technology needed to be more successful with the quality of the music during web casts. Sound engineers are welcome to offer us expert advice on how to solve this problem.
We have had about a 95% success rate using this free service. Sometimes Zoom sends a message saying they are having trouble "connecting with the voice server." When this happens we will try to wait a minute or two. If we cannot reconnect, we will reset the conference. This involves closing all the windows of Zoom and waiting for a new invitation "video call" to a new conference.
If you still have questions please call the Parsonage/worship center phone: 1-607-280-0374 outside web cast events.
