Ray of Hope Church Of Our Lord Jesus Christ has been serving the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered, transsexual and open minded heterosexual community of Central New York since 1983. The congregation presently meets weekly in
three locations:

FROM THE EAST - NY Trhruway Exit #36, South on I81, to 690 East, to the Teall Ave. exit.  Turn right on Teall Ave, continue through the Erie Blvd. intersection.  The street name changes to Columbus Ave.  Continue to E. Genesee St.  Turn left on E. Genesee St.  The next street on the left is Allen St.  Turn left on Allen St.  The building on the corner is where we meet.  Come to the back door.  Apt. 4

FROM THE SOUTH - I81 North to exit 18.  Continue north past E. Adams St., Harrison St., Madison St., Cedar St., turn left on E. Genesee St. Continue east on E. Genesee St through the intersectioin of Wescott St.  The next street is Cambridge St on your right.  Turn left at the next street - Allen St.  The building on the corner of Allen and E. Genesee St. where we meet.  Come to the back door.  Apt. 4.

Sunday Morning 9:30 at the Rectory/Parsonage the home of Br. Shawn Benedict, Pastor - 380 W. First Street (the corner of W. First and Davis Streets) Elmira, NY.

Daily Morning Prayer Sunday through Friday mornings at 7:30 AM

Wednesday Bible Study at  7:30 - 9:00 PM.
Come into the chapel anytime the door is unlocked for private prayer.



Take Exit 56 from Rt 17 soon to be I-86. This will put you on Church Street in Elmira. Continue on Church Street (going West) through the middle of Elmira (cross under railroad bridge, over Main Street, etc.) to the corner of Church and Davis Streets. You will see Grace Church on your left. Turn right on Davis Street. The next corner is Davis Street and W. First Street. You will see the Church in front of you. Coming from Watkins, Corning or Horseheads take Rt. 14 South. It becomes Miracle Mile. Continue South to Elmira Heights. You will come to a split in the road. Wilson Farms will be in front of you. Go to your right. This becomes Davis Street after a few blocks. You will pass Oakwood Methodist Church on your left, St. Charles Church on your left, the Elmira Correctional Facility on your right. Continue past Woodlawn Cemetary, St. Casmir's on your left, Booth School on your left, Horigan's Tavern on your right. The next corner is W. First and Davis and our Church is on your left. You will clearly see the rainbow flag on the building.

OSWEGO, NY
Ray Of Hope Church Of Our Lord Jesus Christ has received a letter from people in the Oswego area requesting our ministry there. Persons in the Oswego area interested should call Br. Benedict at 1-800-367-1463. Again, as soon as there are enough people to sustain the ministry, we will come to Oswego on a weekly basis. Brother Benedict is willing to come to Oswego to meet with interested individuals or groups to discuss homosexuality and Christianity, and the Bible.


COLLEGE AND UNIVERSITY GAY/LESBIAN/TRANSGENDERED STUDENT GROUPS anywhere in the USA., Brother Benedict is avaliable to be invited to speak to your group or to a general student population. Usually the topic presented is"The Bible And Homosexuality - NO CONDEMNATION!!!," or "Being Gay and Christian,"etc. Please call
