Ray of Hope Church Of Our Lord Jesus Christ has been serving the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered, transsexual and open minded heterosexual community of Central New York since 1983. The congregation presently meets weekly in

Sunday night Worship is at May Memorial Unitarian Universalist Society.


Worship with Communion on Sunday at 6:00 pm at May Memorial Unitarian Universalist Society 3800 E. Genesee Street - Syracuse NY 13214. Enter through front doors. Turn left to the hall. Take the stairs on your left down to the education wing. Turn right and go two doors in the education wing to the room we rent.

FROM THE EAST - NY Trhruway Exit #34A, South on I481, Dewitt exit (3w), west on E. Genesee St. (Rte. 92) just over one mile to May Memorial on the left side (#3800 E. Genesee).

FROM THE SOUTH - I81 to I481 Noth to Dewitt exit (3w), west on E. Genesee St. just over one mile to May Memorial (#3800) on the left side.

FROM THE WEST - NY Thruway Exit #39, east on I690 to I481 South, next exit off I481 South (Dewitt -- Exit 3w), west on E. Genesee St. as bove.

FROM THE NORTH - I81 South to I481 South, then Dewitt exit (3w) and proceed as if coming from the East.

From Erie Blvd., Rt. 5 East. Take it to the end by Shoppingtown Mall. Rt. 5 ends at Rt. 92 forming a "T". Turn right onto Meadowbrook. You will see a small strip plaza on your right and one on the other side of the street on your left. If you come to 481, turn around, you are going the wrong way. On Meadowbrook you will pass the Jewish Home of CNY on your right and a Catholic Church and cemetary on your left. May Memorial will come up on your left side. May Memorial parking lot is not paved, park there. Enter through front doors. Turn left to the hall. Take the stairs on your left down to the education wing. Turn right and go two doors in the education wing to the room we rent.

Take Exit 56 from Rt 17 soon to be I-86. This will put you on Church Street in Elmira. Continue on Church Street (going West) through the middle of Elmira (cross under railroad bridge, over Main Street, etc.) to the corner of Church and Davis Streets. You will see Grace Church on your left. Turn right on Davis Street. The next corner is Davis Street and W. First Street. You will see the Church in front of you. Coming from Watkins, Corning or Horseheads take Rt. 14 South. It becomes Miracle Mile. Continue South to Elmira Heights. You will come to a split in the road. Wilson Farms will be in front of you. Go to your right. This becomes Davis Street after a few blocks. You will pass Oakwood Methodist Church on your left, St. Charles Church on your left, the Elmira Correctional Facility on your right. Continue past Woodlawn Cemetary, St. Casmir's on your left, Booth School on your left, Horigan's Tavern on your right. The next corner is W. First and Davis and our Church is on your left. You will clearly see the rainbow flag on the building.

Ray Of Hope Church Of Our Lord Jesus Christ has received a letter from people in the Oswego area requesting our ministry there. Persons in the Oswego area interested should call Br. Benedict at 1-800-367-1463. Again, as soon as there are enough people to sustain the ministry, we will come to Oswego on a weekly basis. Brother Benedict is willing to come to Oswego to meet with interested individuals or groups to discuss homosexuality and Christianity, and the Bible.
